No need to bring a suitcase full of resort wear to our relaxing California spa. Golden Door provides you with most of the necessities needed
to ensure a most enlightening spa getaway in California. For a comfortable stay, we suggest you bring items, including:
- Personal toiletries
- 3 sets of undergarments, women should bring a sports bra, and synthetic-blend socks; avoid 100% cotton
- 2 bathing suits/swim trunks
- Sleepwear
- Aerobic, court shoes or cross-training shoes with non-marking soles, required for classes
- Hiking shoes or boots, well-broken-in with good tread are required for all hikes
- A warm jacket, for winter hikes and cool evenings
- Workout wear if you prefer this to warm-up suit, t-shirt and short - see below
We provide:
- A fresh warm-up suit, t-shirt and shorts daily,
- A thick microfiber/terry or light waffle-weave robe (depending on the season)
- Bathhouse sandals
- A cotton robe (yukata) to don for dinner and evening activities.
- Also provided, though seldom used: a windbreaker, rain poncho, and umbrella, as well
as a knit cap and mittens for early morning hikes during the winter months. Of course,
there's a straw hat for those extra-sunny days.
