Rachel Caldwell
In September 1960, fresh out of high school, Rachel was interviewed and hired to work in
the office at Rancho La Puerta by Golden Door founder Deborah Szekely. In 1961, Deborah
recruited Rachel to work at the Golden Door. A variety of responsibilities culminated in
a promotion to General Manager when the Golden Door moved to its present location in 1975.
